THIS IS SIMPSON FINE ART

Eve and Wally Simpson have been involved in contemporary 20th Century art for over thirty years. Eve previously owned the famous Gallery on Church Street before opening Simpson Fine Arts at the bottom of the Chiltern hills in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Stocking a massive collection of many European artists from the 20th Century, the gallery in Hemel Hempstead is like an Aladdin's cave.

...But Simpson Fine Art is more than just a business...it's a passion and this is clearly felt when one walks into the gallery. Eve and Wally really enjoy their work and their environment. Customers become friends across the world and Simpson Fine Art has supplied quality art to homes and businesses in far away places such as the USA, Canada, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Spain, Germany, France, Indonesia, New Zealand, Sweden, Norway and Greece.

While stock comprises individual paintings worth in excess of £20,000, the aim is to offer quality art for realistic prices and many fine works are available to suit all budgets. As mentioned, Simpson Fine Art is driven by passion.

Regular attendance of various art exhibitions across the country means that Eve and Wally aren't always at the gallery. Hence, while visitors are always welcome, it is advisable to telephone prior to visiting.

The new website has been redesigned to bring you as much information as possible, on the artists whose paintings we stock as well as the pictures themselves. Fixed (consistent) navigation means that you will be able to find what you're looking for, much quicker on the new website while the new NEWS section keeps you up to date with all that's going on at Simpson Fine Art...so try to check back here regularly.

A few points to consider: While every attempt has been made to provide you with a reasonable likeness of some the paintings we stock, please note that practical photography of such subject-matter has its limitations. Many paintings for example are behind glass and despite all efforts to inhibit reflections, it is not always possible to cut out everything. You will also notice that we have no pictures of framed paintings which actually show the frame! However, if you are interested in a particular item, please don't hesitate to e-mail us to enquire on the type of frame.

And lastly...Okay, so you might not be up on 20th Century European art...NO PROBLEM! Just visit the HOME page or the GALLERY pages and hover over any paintings you like. You will notice that your cursor will change and that the artist's name will appear under the cursor, prompting you to press (left-click). Doing so will take you to the respective artist's pages on this site. It' easy. Of course you can scroll through our list of artists via the drop-down menu which appears at the top-right on all pages. Simply left-click on the arrow to the right of the drop-down menu and select your artist of interest.
